Initial reports suggest that there were no significant injuries or damage reported in regions nearer to the epicenter, although the remote nature of Badakhshan can lead to delays in information being communicated to Kabul.

Strong tremors were felt across various parts of Afghanistan, including Kabul, as well as in neighboring regions such as New Delhi, India. Reports from Pakistan also confirmed the tremors were felt in major cities including Islamabad, Peshawar, Chitral, Swat, and Shangla, but no immediate injuries or damages were reported from those areas.
